A paper collage by Charlotte Culot forms the basis for this piece, translating her layered gestures into textile form. Variations in pile height echo the depth and structure of torn paper, recreating the sense of overlapping surfaces found in the original composition. The combination of wool, silk and linen introduces further dimension, with each fibre contributing to the interplay between material, relief and form.
