Collection Overview

Each Maison Rhizomes collection is developed with a single artist, translating their body of work into a limited series of twenty-two hand-knotted textile art pieces, conceived for wall or floor. Original intent is carried into textile through specialist atelier handcraft, with fibre composition, knotting technique and knot density set in response to the character of the source work, recasting it in a highly sensorial register.

Behind every textile art piece is a singular story.

“A hand-knotted rug is the result of a technique passed down for centuries, and the knowledge of weavers is transmitted from generation to generation. The quality of the materials used and the knotting technique give it excellent durability. The encounter between centuries-old craftsmanship and contemporary creation makes these rugs unique.”
