Still Life

by Charlotte Culot

Still Life takes its cue from one of Charlotte Culot’s still life paintings — a composition built almost entirely out of texture, worked in layers of white and natural tone rather than colour or line. It's the quieter register of her practice: where her collage works lean into colour and composition, this piece sits in restraint, letting surface and texture carry the image. It's the first piece to bring this side of her practice into the collection. Translating that painterly language into a rug, the work takes on a tactile depth — texture you can touch, not just see.

This rug is hand-knotted and part of a limited collection of twenty-two pieces.
