Runner Cobble Stone white

by Charlotte Culot

The architectural language of Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand informs this work, which translates the irregular forms of cobblestone paths into a graphic textile composition. Varying shapes and proportions create a pattern that recalls the natural arrangement of stone surfaces. The combination of wool, silk, linen and hemp introduces contrast between fibres, adding depth to the elongated form.
