The irregular geometry of urban cobblestone pathways provides the foundation for this work. Soft beige, grey and tobacco tones are set against a deep black ground, recreating the contrast and variation found in stone surfaces. The combination of wool, silk, linen and hemp enhances the tactile quality of the piece, creating a layered interpretation of an everyday architectural detail.
