Is the rug made only for the wall?

We consider each rug in our collection to be a piece of art, that will bring life to any room in your home or professional space. Our rugs can be used traditionally on the floor but also hang elegantly on any wall.

Can you walk on the rug?

Our rugs can be walked on and used to complete any room in your home or professional space. Each rug is made from a blend of silk, linen and wool providing a soft and firm feel.

How do I hang a rug?

Hanging one of our limited-edition hand-knotted rugs is simple. Each rug has a cotton loop across the top, that can be pulled through a wooden or metal bar (which we do not provide). The bar needs to be secured to the wall with hooks. Please find images below for reference on how to do this.

Can I customise a rug?

Yes, the size of our rugs is customisable. We are also open to commissions if you have a unique design that you would like to transform into a rug. To do this, contact us via email.

Are any of the rugs limited edition?

All of our rugs are hand-knotted and part of a limited edition collection. Each collection has 22 rugs. You can view our latest collection here

Where are the rugs made?

Our rugs are made by a team of expert artisans in Nepal. The technique of hand-knotting rugs is over 2,000 years old – we have immense respect for the artisanal tradition and precision in this craft. A single rug can take up to one year to make.

Who designs the rugs?

Each collection is designed by a different artist, our current collection was designed by Charlotte Culout, co-founder of Maison Rhizomes, our studio and longtime Belgian artist, learn more about her here

Can these rugs be cleaned?

Yes, all rugs can be cleaned and are vacuum friendly. The materials and dyes used in our rugs are of the highest quality, and natural and our suppliers have been making them for generations. We recommend always using dry cleaners who are well-versed in hand-knotted rugs.

I am an architect or interior designer, how can I work with you?
