Rhizomes 4 colourful

by Charlotte Culot

Taking cues from the tapestries of Le Corbusier, this work explores the relationship between geometric structure, colour and material. A deep blue and aubergine-toned ground is layered with contrasting tones, while the combination of wool and linen creates a surface with varied texture and depth. The interaction between fibres gives the composition a tactile complexity that extends its architectural influence into textile.
