The abstract compositions of British postmodernist painter Patrick Heron, a close friend of the Culot family, inform this exploration of colour, pattern and visual balance. Rich blue tones are set against a warmer palette, creating a composition centred on colour relationships and visual balance. Through the arrangement of contrasting hues and forms, the piece translates Heron’s exploration of abstraction into a woven surface.
